NOYES – Issue 1

Presence and longing. Boundaries. Growing up. Staying young. – NOYES

Photographer Max Threlfall (31) is founding a zine series with NOYES that captures the togetherness and coexistence of these feelings. The first issue will be published on Friday 24 April 2020 at 12.00 pm.

NOYES is for No and Yes

For new things. For decisions, stages of life and changes. For the step forward and the step back. Max has been taking photos on film for years. The idea for NOYES was born on a flight between Valencia and Berlin, with the desire to conserve these images and the feeling associated with them.

NOYES currently.

Even though NOYES initially embodies a different sense of time, the juxtaposition of uncertainties, tranquillity, possibilities and new boundaries has never been so palpable as at present.

NOYES donates.

For this reason, Max and his team decided to publish the magazine with a loud “Now more than ever! No party, no pictures on the wall – but a good contribution in the current situation: all proceeds of the first issue of NOYES will go to the relief organizations Doctors without Borders e.V. and Sea-Eye e.V.
